Testosterone is a primary male sex hormone, produced mainly in the testes, that plays a key role in developing and maintaining male characteristics. It’s involved in the development of male reproductive organs, muscle mass, bone density, and hair growth, as well as influencing libido, and other behavioral traits. Testosterone levels naturally decline with age, and its effects can be further influenced by factors like diet, exercise, and stress.
